At the heart of Wholesale Whale is a streamlined system for submitting, receiving, and managing wholesale offers. Unlike auctions, there are no obligations — only mutual interest triggers a connection, where dealers can then negotiate directly.

💸 Submitting an Offer

From any Unit Details Panel, dealers can submit an offer:

  1. Offer Amount – Your proposed purchase price

  2. Delivery Arrangement – Choose who arranges transport:

    • Buyer

    • Seller

    • No preference

    • (Seller may enforce a required setting)

  3. Offer Expiration – Optional countdown

  4. Click Submit Offer

ℹ️ There’s no penalty for submitting, rescinding, or letting offers expire.

🟢 Offer Status

Offers are tracked by both buyer and seller, with the following statuses:

Offer Statuses:

  • Open – Offer has been submitted by the Buyer & received by the Seller.

  • Connecting – A connection request has been sent, awaiting other party to confirm.

  • Connected – Buyer & Seller are now connected and now have access to eachother's profiles for contact, details, etc.

  • Expired – The offer expiration timer ran out. After 3 days, offer closes.

  • Closed – Offer expred, was rescinded or connection ended.

ℹ️ Buyers can only have one active offer per listing.

🏆 Offer Ranking

Offers are gamified with a Top 5 system:

  • Offers are ranked by value.

  • If your offer is in the Top 5, you’ll see a tag once the delay timer clears.

  • Outside the Top 5 = Not as likely to connect with Seller.

  • You can update your offer anytime to try to re-enter Top 5.

🏆 Offer ranks update with a short delay to keep the process smooth and fair.

⚡ Connections (Example)

  1. Seller clicks Connect on an offer they want to pursue.

  2. Buyer receives prompt to approve the connection.

  3. Once approved, Buyer & Seller are now connected and have access to eachother's profiles for contact, details, etc.

🐳 Both parties now deal directly — Wholesale Whale steps out of the way.

Rules During Connection

  • A unit can only be connected to one offer at a time

  • Connections pause listing expiration countdowns

  • Listings cannot be edited or unlisted during a connection

  • Either party can close the connection at any time

Closing a Connection

From the Connected Actions menu, dealers can:

  • Print Deal Overview – Includes offer details, contact info, condition report, and disclosures

  • Close Connection – Ends the interaction and prompts a feedback survey

🤝 Peer Reviewed Dealers

After closing a connection, you'll be prompted to rate the other party on:

  • Communication

  • Reliability

  • Professionalism

  • Overall Satisfaction

If the experience was positive, click the Handshake button — this improves visibility and trust in future deals between your accounts.

✋ Dealers who consistently ghost offers or misrepresent units may receive negative ratings, affecting future deal flow.

❓ FAQs

Is there any obligation to respond to an offer?

  • No. But ignoring too many offers can impact your peer ratings and reputation on the platform.

Can I cancel or update my offer?

  • Yes — you can rescind or re-submit an offer anytime.

What happens if I miss the expiration window?

  • Your offer becomes Expired. You can still re-submit if the unit is available. If you're the Seller, you won't be able to interact with an expired offer until the buyer re-submits it.

How do I know if my offer is competitive?

  • If you're in the Top 5, you'll be notified. Otherwise, update your offer to stay in the running.

Do both sides have to agree to connect?

  • Yes. Both seller and buyer must confirm before any contact information is exchanged.
